Organisations are formed by bringing people together for a defined set of objectives. To this end, they provide structures and systems for individuals to come together and work as a collectivity. Over time some of the organisations have potential and contribute to the emergence of institutions in society. Institutions go beyond individuals, organisations and are anchored within a larger framework of norms, rules and regulations that influence behaviour.
